Students will receive one of the following rating on their report card...
4 – Exceeds grade level standards.....................................95% and above
3 – Meets grade level standards.........................................94% - 75%
2 – Limited progress towards grade level standards..........74% - 50%
1 – Does not meet grade level standards............................below 50%
Though a percentage range is given per rating, these ratings are NOT equivalent to traditional letter grades (A, B, C, D). Rather than focusing on student achievement (grades), our goal is to focus on individual student GROWTH. Student growth emphasizes where students begin their learning to where they end. When we complete each unit of study, some students begin already knowing much of the material, while others know very little. The growth a student makes during a unit of study shows their learning. All students are succeeding and achieving in our classroom so long as they are showing growth!
